Devices

The hardware we actually manage.

InnovaEdge adopts, configures and monitors fielded IoT hardware, and Lantronix FOX3, FOX4 and X304 are managed today, sovereign end to end. Beyond that family, coverage is a matrix being filled in, and every row on this page says exactly how completely each one is controlled — not just whether it appears at all.

Four support grades · one device family table · the honest boundary underneath it

01 — Support grades explained

The grade is a buying decision, not jargon.

Every family in the table below carries one of these four grades, and the grade tells you what actually happens when you point us at your fleet.

Sovereign

Our runtime, our credentials, our delivery path. No third party can withdraw your access.

Direct native

A documented manufacturer protocol, spoken directly. No vendor cloud sits in the control path.

Provider bridged

Management depends on a manufacturer cloud. We still own jobs, desired state, evidence and identity; delivery is theirs.

Telemetry only

We read and parse. We do not claim to configure it.

02 — The family table

Grouped by grade, not by marketing tier.

Anything not shipped carries a visible badge here, in the same table as everything that is — status is a column, not a footnote.

Sovereign

FamilyRuntimeInterfacesStatus
Lantronix FOX3
Desired state is translated into PFAL-backed Lua behaviour. Versioned table stack, native command fallback, connectivity self-heal.
InnovaEdge Runtime (Lua)Cellular, GPS, digital and analog I/O, CAN and OBD-II, serial and ModbusAvailable
Lantronix FOX4
Same contract and stack model as FOX3 with FOX4 capability adapters.
InnovaEdge Runtime (Lua)Cellular, GPS, I/O, CAN and OBD-II, BLE and WLANAvailable
Lantronix X304
Signed installation lifecycle, live inventory, transactional UCI networking that rolls back if the link does not come home, allow-listed service operations, controller protocol profiles.
InnovaEdge Agent (Linux daemon)Ethernet, dual-role WLAN, cellular, CAN, RS-232 and RS-485, Bluetooth SPPAvailable
Generic Linux / OpenWrt
The reference sovereign family — the same agent as X304 generalised off Lantronix hardware.
InnovaEdge Agent (Linux daemon)Whatever the gateway exposes, behind declared capability adaptersIn development

Direct native

FamilyRuntimeInterfacesStatus
Teltonika
Codec 8E/12 gateway and parameter mapping exist and are under hardware validation as the first non-Lantronix family.
Native protocol adapterGPS, CAN and OBD, I/O, BLE sensorsIn development
Lantronix FOX, direct delivery
Direct PFAL/TCP delivery so a manufacturer cloud becomes optional for steady-state operation rather than a permanent dependency.
InnovaEdge Runtime (Lua)As FOX3 and FOX4Planned
Queclink
Pending authoritative command and OTA protocol access.
Native protocol adapterGPS, I/O, CANPlanned
Digi
Industrial gateway coverage alongside AirLink.
RCI / Linux adapterIndustrial gateway interfacesPlanned
Semtech AirLink
Industrial gateway coverage alongside Digi.

Provider bridged

FamilyRuntimeInterfacesStatus
Digital Matter, Ruptela, CalAmp
Managed through the manufacturer cloud until full lifecycle protocols are available. InnovaEdge still owns jobs, desired state, evidence and identity.

03 — What "supported" means

A declared capability is not a bench-validated interface.

Hardware coverage is a matrix, not a checkbox

GPS, power and network paths are live across the sovereign family. CAN, Modbus and serial-controller combinations are a broader bench matrix we are still filling in — an evaluation we hold ourselves, not a claim we make and hope is true.

A read path is not a write path

Teltonika telemetry is decoded and ingested today, and that path is under test end to end. Its configuration-push parameter table is still empty, so it cannot yet configure real Teltonika hardware — the table above marks it building, not shipped, for exactly that reason.

Where the roadmap goes next

Direct Lantronix delivery so a manufacturer cloud becomes optional, then Teltonika validated on hardware, then Queclink, then Digi and AirLink for industrial gateways, then provider bridges for the rest — in that order, as each is actually proven rather than announced ahead of it.

Where to go next

Pricing

Four tiers, the metered device floor, and what is included in each.

Security posture

Per-device broker identity, Argon2id parameters, release rings, and what we do not claim.

Tell us what you run.

Tell us what you run and we'll say plainly which grade it falls into.
